SILVER STREET MISSION  conducts various regular activities. Most are open to the general public. You are welcome!

Sunday Morning worship: We aim to start at 10:30 am and finish around 11:45. Services are informal and friendly, with easily understood Biblical sermons and unscripted prayers. You can see some recent sermons at our Resources page.

Join us for chat and coffee after the service, and often before the service as well.

Mid week prayer and Bible Study: 7:30 pm in the coffee room at the back of the church building. We sing, study the Bible, and pray together until around 9 pm.

Fellowship Meals: On the first Sunday of most months, we share in a fellowship meal after the service. We suggest an $8 donation to help with the costs.

At other times during the year, we also share in a meal. On Easter Sunday we usually meet in a park for worship and share in a barbecue lunch; before Christmas there is a “Break Up” dinner as activities go into recess, and a lunch on Christmas Day, particularly for those without a family to share with on that day.

Sometimes our Saturday social takes the form of a fellowship meal in a restaurant.

Drop In Centre: In the 1990s Silver Street Mission pioneered Drop In with a focus on the need of people with mental illnesses to be accepted in the community. While the service has broadened, it continues as a place of companionship and acceptance. Open Thursdays 10 am to 1 pm, and includes lunch (no charge).

Saturday Social: On the final Saturday of most months, we have a social event. Recent examples have been
