The present site continues attracting visitors (see graph above.) The top line shows all visitors to the site. The intermediate one (beginning week 13, square markers) shows those who go to the sermons section, and the lower line (diamond shaped markers) shows visitors to the newsletter page. Sermons seem more interesting than the newsletter! At the end of March, we had had over 3500 visitors to the main page since we began counting 3 years ago. There were about 250 visitors monthly this year.

ADVANTAGES
Advantages of having our own domain name include the availability of so-called "server side scripts". These will not be running when you make your first visit to the site, but will enable us to learn a lot more about visitors, such as what country they (probably) come from, what time they visited, which pages they went to (and less useful stuff like the kind of browser they use and the operating system on their computer!).

Obviously, if we mainly attract Siberians, we will need a different slant from what would suit a site reaching mainly fellow Australians.

It's like when an overseas based member was reading our Newsletter and couldn’t understand what the TAB is, or why we might want to say anything about brothels, which are illegal in many parts of the world.

NOT SPYING
However, we aren't really on about "spying" on visitors, but other benefits include the ability to make the site more interactive. All these things are down the track, though.
The existing pspete1 site will remain active for the time being, but will probably become an extended "reading room", with less general information about the Mission itself. A new church business e-mail address will be set up in relation to the new domain, which should reduce misreading related difficulties.

We invite you to visit our site during the week. It will start out with an index page, and will generally be only slightly changed from its current form. I will upgrade it further as opportunities arise.

The www.atsilverstreet.com domain name was properly associated with the nameservers on 3 April, so you can now access the site at that address, but most links still connect to the pnc.com.au site.
