About the founder, Pastor Chevakula Wilson.

Chevakula Wilson
"I was born in a Hindu religious poor family, and worshipped idols like stone and wood," he says. "Due to poverty conditions, I suffered for food, clothes and shelter. In my youth I used to sin, and lost my way to heaven. I had no peace in my heart."

Chevakula read many religious books to find the real God. "There are many religions and names of Gods in this world," he says.

"It happened that I attended a gospel meeting and was touched by the Spirit of God," he says. "I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. When I was converted, I met some trouble. I was hated by our relatives and friends."

Pastor Wilson and wife, Mary

"In those days, people followed Communism," he continues. "Christianity did not spread. I was not ashamed of them for I have found the real Life and Truth. I committed my life for the service of God. I began to witness for Jesus and distributed literature of Good News of Salvation through Christ. I faced much trouble in the villages."

Pastor Wilson Chevaluka founded the Gospel Assembly with the aim of winning souls for Christ.
" Every Indian has some kind of religion," he says, "But they are lost wthout Christ the Saviour. Millions of people, including children, are suffering without food, clothing, education and medical care: pray for India!"

This is exactly the case in our area, but we have a saying that "Even one person can harvest his millet." So we are moving determinedly, with faith that God will send more workers at the right time."

Pastor Chevaluka writes about his vision...

"In India there are many religions, castes and cults. We need heart-burdened and compassionate supporters to win India's lost, unsaved souls for Christ. If you are interested to reach the unreached with the gospel, we have to act quickly and meaningfully while the door is still open and there is freedom and opportunity. I deeply request you to extend your helping hands to set the captives free. Pray, and do what you want to do for Indian evangelism."
